Some issues that concern me are sexuality, women's rights, pollution and the state of the planet, war and it's effect on the economy, as well as the blatant absurdity of it in general, and bullying.
ReplyDeleteSome issues that concern me the most are gender inequality, women's rights (pro-choice), the fact that only 3 out of every 100 rapists will go to jail, climate change, police brutality, and racism.
ReplyDeleteI’m most interested in artists who photograph the working class. As the son of a carpenter and house cleaner, I get to witness the struggle of a blue collar family every time I go home.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite contemporary photographers documenting the lives of the working class, in such a beautiful aesthetic, is Curran Hatleberg. He is visiting New Paltz in March and YOU SHOULD ALL GO SEE HIS LECTURE. I’ll be in New Orleans at SPE when he visits, and it’s killing me that I won’t be able to meet and critique with him.
